Shinso (シンソウ Shinsou?) was one of the 11th Division Combat Executives of the Great Demon King Army and served under the 11th Demon Lord, Jachi.
Appearance
Shinso's body type resembled a tall, lean and muscular human male, but as a demon he also had a pair of horns on the left side of his head, pupilless eyes, long hair, pointed ears, and his left arm was huge, which was also covered in spikes and had large claws on his hand. He wore simple armor that covered part of his chest and right shoulder and hips. When transforming to his powerful form, Shinso's right arm would match the might and size of his left, adorned with an array of spikes. His visage would take on a more angular aspect, his hair would stand on end, resembling spikes, and his stature would increase in both height and muscle mass.
Personality
Shinso looked more composed than his fellow combat executives, but reacted similarly to the situations around them. He seemed to be another proud combat executive of the demon army who was just following his orders.
Plot
Demons vs Aliens Arc
Shinso arrives on the battlefield with Oppo and Bikkuk after Kiva used his Demon-Flute. Kiva thinks they arrived too quickly and they tell him Lord Jachi wanted to ensure his safety because the aliens started showing up.[1] Shinso fights one of the Madalans, Galua, with his fellow demon combat executives, but the alien easily defeats them. This leads to the human mages giving their mana to the demons, which Shinso notes, so they can quickly recover from fatal injuries. Kiva tells him and the other executives that this is just the humans' plot for survival and they should ignore them for now and instead focus on the enemy in front of them.[2]
When the aliens decide to stop wasting their energy on them, Galua calls in their massive spaceship to decimate the land. Everyone is shocked to see the ship in the sky. They are then briefly saved by a mega kaiju, Daikokuzan, who destroys the ship before their eyes.[3]
Unfortunately, when the humans manage to escape, the demons stop receiving mana. This eventually leads to Shinso's death at the hands of the Madalans.[4]
Abilities
As a combat executive of the Demon Army, Shinso is a strong warrior likely on-par with Kiva. However, against the Madalans, Shinso was utterly helpless. Even with the help of three combat executives, he was unable to defeat a single Madalan.[5]
Physical Abilities
- Superhuman Strength: As one of the demon executives, Shinso is a very strong demon.
- Superhuman Speed: Shinso appears to be able to keep up with the other demons when fighting Galua.
- Powerful Regeneration: As a demon, Shinso possesses an incredibly powerful healing factor. Should he sustain a lethal wound and find his own mana reserves insufficient for healing, he will require an outside source to bestow mana upon him, which helps to enable his fast recovery.
- Transformation: Like his fellow demon executives, Shinso can transform himself into a larger and more powerful demon by yelling "Burst!". This increases his strength and abilities.
Magical Abilities
- Flight: As a demon, Shinso can fly without wings by using magic during his confrontation with Galua.
Techniques
- Burst: Shinso unleashes his full power, gaining an immense boost to his abilities and undergoing a transformation in appearance.[6]
- Unending Shredder Claw: Shinso rapidly fires spiky claws toward Galua.[7]
- Quartet of Deadly Evil: A formidable assault technique where the 11th Division's Combat Executives combine their power into one overwhelming blast. This attack is known for its incredible strength and extensive reach, capable of causing collateral damage to friend and foe alike due to its expansive area of effect.[8]
