Muun (ムン Mun?) is a human from Celestia.

Appearance

Muun is a tall woman with a curvy body shape. She has long, wavy hair that flows outward. She wears a yellow, form-fitting full bodysuit with a high collar, sleeves, gloves, goggles, a belt, and slim boots. A shooting star emblem, representing Earth's Defense Force, adorns both sides of her shoulders. The outfit features a distinctive design with a dark section around the neck and upper chest, contrasting with the lighter color of the rest of the suit.

Personality

Not much is known about Muun's personality since she typically takes on the role of a silent observer. At times, she appears calm and composed, occasionally stepping in to assist Thear and help him stay focused. Muun has shown to avoid unfamiliar food that hasn't been properly prepared, but she does appreciate a well-cooked meal.

Plot

Introduction Arc

Muun, along with Thear and Jupit, is one of the participants in the meeting with representatives from other worlds.[1] After some of the men begin arguing over whose natural enemy is the strongest, she remarks that men will always be men, no matter what world they live in.[2] When Zaybi reveals that, despite his earlier speech, he has no plan for pitting their enemies against each other and suggests they all brainstorm together, Muun is baffled by this.[3]

Titans vs The Neo-Humans Arc

Muun and Thear are among those seeing Jupit join the mission with others who volunteered to redirect the Titans toward the Neo-Humans' city.[4] She is also present and shows slight surprise when news of the mission's success and setbacks, including Jupit's death, is revealed.[5]

Demons vs Titans Arc

In the Land of the Lawless, when the human survivors notice the Lawless holding a captive woman, Muun hands a Cosmic Rifle to Thear so he can deal with the bandits, remarking that it seems the Lawless have taken prisoners.[6] When the Lawless charge at the survivors and Masayoshi takes one of the mages with him, Thear is momentarily distracted. However, Muun, holding a Cosmic Rifle, tells him to stay focused on the bandits, as they are approaching.[7]

Lawless Kyokai Arc

After Wané gathers various insects, mushrooms, and plants for the others to eat, Muun is one of those who initially refuses. She claims her people still have some synthetic liquid packs for consumption. However, once Takuya properly prepares and cooks the food, Muun eagerly devours it and asks for more, impressed by how delicious it is.[8]

Later, after Thear and the others express concern about not hearing from Zaybi and the group that went to rescue the mage, Muun brings up the possibility that those who went to the Kyokai's hideout might be dead and that they should prepare for a possible raid by the Lawless.[9]

When Iglay warns them that a small Lawless group is trying to infiltrate through the roof, Muun and the other refugees escape outside and hide in nearby ruins, while those who can't move are concealed in the building's shadows. When they notice that the Lawless haven't brought any Titans and that there are still some people hiding inside the base, Thear activates his Cosmic Ring, ignoring Muun's warning to wait.[10] But after witnessing Gisangi fire his Soul Container weapon, Ps-G-48, at the nearby ruins and cause destruction, Thear abandons his plan to attack alone. Muun expresses relief, saying that underestimating the enemy will only lead to more unnecessary sacrifices.[11]

Soon after, Takuya tries to negotiate with Gisangi, which nearly results in his death. However, something suddenly pulls Gisangi back inside the building, triggering a fight. The group hears the Lawless shouting, followed by abrupt silence, leaving Muun and the others confused about what just happened. Takuya decides to go check it out.[12]

Not long after, Muun, Thear, and the others run into the building and find Takuya staring into one of the rooms. He tells the others not to let Mika and the rest see inside, then asks Muun and Thear to come take a look. Upon seeing the bodies of the Lawless, Muun remarks how strange it is that she didn't hear any gunshots. She notices Heidi is there as well and asks why she's present. Heidi explains she couldn't escape in time and was taken hostage. Takuya adds that one of the Lawless transformed into a parasite, killed the others, and escaped.

Concerned, Muun recalls that some of the Lawless were already hosts for the parasites even before the refugees reached the Land of the Lawless. She asks Heidi if she touched any of the Lawless' blood. Heidi confirms she did and says she will self-isolate for 48 hours, following the Parasitica people's instructions.

After that, Muun and Thear agree they need to deal with the corpses carefully since they might still contain parasites. They decide to follow Parasitica protocol for disposing of the bodies. They also conclude that the escaped parasite host might still be nearby, so they need to regroup the scattered refugees and begin patrolling the area.[13]

Abilities

Since Muun is an ordinary human, she lacks the super strength or endurance to match her enemies. However, to compensate, she relies on her world's futuristic technology to assist her in battles.
