| Overview |
Samone (サモウーン Samoūn?) is a human from The Titan's Crown.
Appearance
Samone is a tall, young-looking woman with brown skin and visible muscle mass that show off her strong and brawny physique. Her long, thick red hair is pinned in three places; braided on both sides of the face and tied at the back and her bangs hang close to her eyes, with a yellow stripe on one of them. She wears a necklace, a sleeveless low-cut wrap crop top and a type of hotpants with spotted patterns on it with a type of loincloth on top.
Personality
Samone is gracious, friendly and thoughtful; She politely introduces herself and puts respect on top when talking with humans from other worlds. She also describes the giants with as much information as possible to help Glasp's plan. However, she's much stricter and more violent towards Pakkya, hitting him multiple times when he acts out of line. Samone also has a high sense of companionship. Right before the Grand Teleportation Circle activates, she wants them to wait for Pakkya. When seeing a slave girl suffer from blood loss, she heads out to assist despite warnings from Cartel and almost does it again when Zaybi is unconscious.
Plot
Introduction Arc
Samone is present alongside Pakkya, Braginte and humans from other worlds during the meeting. There, she introduces herself and keeps Pakkya in line. The next day, she wakes Pakkya up and helps devise a plan to make Titans and the Neo-Humans fight each other. While Keila explains she and Hallow managed to pit two natural enemies together, Pakkya comments it was pure luck before Samone punches him. She punches him again after he says Hallow's plan will not work on the Titans.[2]
Titans vs The Neo-Humans Arc
The next morning after the meeting, Ario reveals he knew beforehand there were Titans approaching the fortress. He mentions he saw a pile of bodies while he was coming there, and Samone explains said pile of bodies is the Titans' territory mark. After the worlds merged, these Titans expanded their territory and the fortress is coincidentally in their path of expansion.[3] After Glasp's explanation of the plan, Samone believes it might work thanks to the Titans' need for labor. She's present in the meeting after the plan's success.
Demons vs Aliens Arc
During the demons' incursion, Samone stays in the meeting room and reports that Pakkya has stormed out. She is then confused by the concepts of space and Celestia's enemies.[4] When asked for a safe place, she claims her homeland isn't viable.[5] She asks Zaybi to wait for Pakkya when the Grand Teleportation Magic Circle is about to be activated, which proves to be not feasible.[6]
Demons vs Titans Arc
When seeing the condition of the captive slave girl, Samone volunteers to head out to help her alongside two other people from her world and asks Peyo and Cartel to go all out if she ends up being infected.[7] She then witnesses in shock as the parasite emerges from the slave girl's body and quickly finishes her companions.[8] She runs away and blames herself after Zaybi arrives to handle the situation.[9] She attempts to approach Zaybi but this time decides to stay out after Cartel's repeated warning.[10] She stays in the frontline to ask if everyone's in agreement when the Lawless attacks.[11]
Lawless Kyokai Arc
Four days later, Samone helps Thear install the portable solar generator. Afterward, Thear thanks her and compliments her strength, comparing it to heavy machinery. Samone, unfamiliar with the reference, is slightly confused. Noticing Thear and Glasp standing idly by as she single-handedly lifted the massive solar unit into place, she says that they should start doing more weightlifting.[12]
While Zaybi is having his meeting with Rinri, Masayoshi asks Samone for a favor.[1] Later, she throws a dead glower mouse at the Kyokai's base because Masayoshi had asked her to dig it up and toss it there. Masayoshi thanks her and tells that they'll need to run if Zaybi manages to escape from the Lawless base.[13]
Soon, Samone spots Zaybi attempting to escape from Kyokai's base. Keila urgently shouts that they need to help him and asks Samone to back her up, to which she quickly agrees. They then sprint toward Kyokai's base while the Tyrant Bear continues to keep the Lawless occupied.[14]
However, after Rinri slays the Tyrant Bear, the parasite within it takes control, mutating it into a Wild Beast Wurm. Cartel deduces that the parasites must have already spread throughout the entire Crimson Forest. Upon hearing this, a worried Samone recalls that they had eaten animals from that very forest earlier, but Cartel reassures her, explaining that since they cooked the meat - and given that parasites are weak to heat - it shouldn't pose a threat. However, she then warns that the real danger lies in the parasite's host: the stronger the host, the faster the parasite grows.[15]
When they finally reach Zaybi, while the parasite is distracting the Lawless, Samone asks if he's okay. She notes how things have spiraled out of control but insists this is their chance to escape together. However, Zaybi refuses, explaining that the situation has changed - they must support the Lawless.
Samone is confused, questioning why they would help the same people who had tried to kill them earlier. Zaybi reveals that the Lawless are holding innocent captives who must be rescued, and if this conflict continues, it will drag even more innocent people from the Land of the Lawless into a massacre. He adds that they cannot allow one of humanity's natural enemies to grow too powerful - if they do, survival will be impossible. Because of this, they must assist Kyokai.
Zaybi then gives Samone and the others the choice to leave if they wish. However, Samone decides that since their actions caused their worlds to fuse together, it is their responsibility to set things right.[16] Resolute, she joins the others and the Lawless in confronting the massive parasite.[17] But when the parasite begins consuming more Lawless and other humans, it undergoes another transformation, evolving into a colossal Super Wurm. Samone and the others stand speechless, staring at the titanic being before them.[18]
