Defending the Humans' Base (
Summary
Part 1
Hallow tells the kids to inform Zaybi of the demons' arrival before heading out to face Kiva alone. Kiva expects an easy win and accepts Hallow's solo duel but to his surprise, Hallow fights evenly and performs a spin after swinging Kiva's arm away to preserve the sword's momentum and converts it into a stab to Kiva's abdomen. Angered, Kiva uses "Burst" but still gets outmatched and only narrowly avoids Hallow's lethal strike after taking a surprise kick in the leg. Kiva immediately breaks his promise and orders his army to attack Hallow all at once.
Part 2
Hallow wishes he had joined Ario to stop the Titans. As he prepares to fight the demons alone, various human forces come to his aid, including, but not limited to, Keila, Mage Force and Pakkya. Pakkya rushes recklessly and immediately kills several demons but get affected by the tear gas grenades thrown by Anti-Machine Combat Force earlier. He headbutts Hallow and warns him against suiciding as that is betrayal to the sacrifices to divert the Titans. Hallow points to his feeling of uselessness that caused him to act that way, to which Pakkya concurs. Though surprised there are more capable fighters, Kiva knows humans can't turn the tide of the battle.
Inside the meeting room, Zaybi says they have deployed maximum fighting force and the fortress is completely surrounded. Glasp asks Thear to provide more information on their weapon in space. He reveals their satellites have been in the orbit for generations but can't change the situation due to the overwhelming number of enemies. Glasp questions Thear for other reasons, to which Thear reveals using the satellites risk getting their weapon destroyed and attracting the arrival of their natural enemy, the Madalans. Thear says even the reduced output still carries some risk, but Glasp tells him to use it at maximum power to intentionally invite them in.
On the frontline, the humans start to lose ground. As Hallow charges in again, laser beams from the sky start raining down and kill a number of demons, though Kiva easily slaps one away. As the demons are confused, the attack suddenly stops and Kiva mocks the humans' pathetic attempt. Suddenly strange pod-like objects drop and Thear announces the loss of another satellite. As everyone on the battlefield turns their attention to these objects, Thear claims these Madalans will obliterate everything as they reveal their true appearance.
